Assignment Instructions

Goal: Conduct a case study analysis based on two scholarly studies that are related to your research topic. After a concise, but thorough, analyses of the cases, summarize the benefits of cross-cultural management in business.

Instructions: Students will write a 600-750 word case study analysis based on two case studies that involve cross-cultural management. Review the Case Study Analysis procedure as presented in a document located in this week’s reading resources (see Lessons). Obtain your case study articles from scholarly peer-reviewed journals in the online library. Use case studies that were published within the last ten years. After a concise, but thorough and clear delineation and analysis of the cases, complete the paper with a summary of what you gleaned from using the cases to understand management practice within organizations.

Write using the APA style format, including a title page and references page (no abstract is required).


Case Study

10-53: Zena Freeman is a contention between a student and her male teacher (Dr. Macho Mann ) Organizational Psychology course. She goes to her teacher requesting help understanding specific organizational psychology research ideas. Educator Macho Mann remarks his student that women don’t have a place in the course since they are not suited for the field and exclusively decline to answer her questions, yet he kept on criticizing her and the female sex overall. He went ahead about how women are inadmissible for function in the business world and utilized her issues understanding specific ideas as his proof to help this. A way to deal with breaking down this case study would be analyzing why a renowned teacher wants to disparage his student looking for his assistance and clarifying which ethical and moral violations he has supported.

Ethical Conflict was::


The main ethical conflict includes the standard of “Human Relations” and the guideline of “Regard for People’s Rights and Dignity.” The standard of human relations incorporates sexual harassment, unfair discrimination, exploitative relationships, and avoiding harm. These were available for Zena’s case. Zena was subjected to unfair discrimination exclusively because she is a girl. She was likewise subjected to a type of sexual harassment. Although there were no immediate sexual references or inappropriate touching, she is sexually harassed by Macho Mann’s attempt to keep her in a subordinate position by exclusion and ridicule (Koocher, 2016). The Respect for People’s Rights and Dignity is described as respecting the dignity and worth of all people, their right to privacy, confidentiality, and self-determination. Be aware of, and respect cultural and role differences, and don’t willingly participate or condone activities of others based on prejudices (“Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct.”, 2017).

Case Study

For this  assignment, you will read a case and answer a series of questions     concerning an analysis of ethical considerations governing marketing       practices, as leaders are responsible for such endeavors. Begin by reading the following case, Datamonitor. (2010, July). Ambush marketing case study: Successfully leveraging high-profile  events to raise brand profile.

Then, draft a two-page paper by addressing each of  the following items:

1. In your own words, how would you describe “ambush marketing”?                              Include two examples with your description.

2. What are the advantages and disadvantages (risks and consequences)                              of ambush marketing?

3. What was Bavaria Beer hoping to achieve through its ambush marketing                        tactics?

4. Would you consider Bavaria Beer’s ambush marketing an unethical                              practice or simply a competitive strategy? Explain.

5. Can ambush marketing be both intentional and unintentional?                              Explain.

6. As a leader of an organization, would you allow the practice of                              ambush marketing? Explain.

Mini Case 2

Suppose you decide (as did Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg) to start a company. Your product is a software platform that integrates a wide range of media devices, including laptop computers, desktop computers, digital video recorders, and cell phones. Your initial market is the student body at your university. Once you have established your company and set up procedures for operating it, you plan to expand to other colleges in the area and eventually to go nationwide. At some point, hopefully sooner rather than later, you plan to go public with an IPO and then to buy a yacht and take off for the South Pacific to indulge in your passion for underwater photography. With these issues in mind, you need to answer for yourself, and potential investors, the following questions.

  1. What      is an agency relationship? When you first begin operations, assuming you      are the only employee and only your money is invested in the business,      would any agency conflicts exist? Explain your answer.
  2. If you expanded and hired additional people to help      you, might that give rise to agency problems?
  3. Suppose you need additional capital to expand and you sell some stock to outside  investors. If you maintain enough stock to control the company, what type of agency conflict might occur?
  4. Suppose your company raises funds from outside lenders. What type of agency costs  might occur? How might lenders mitigate the agency costs?

Required: Read the Chapter 13 Mini Case on pages 561-562 in Financial Management: Theory and Practice. Using complete sentences and academic vocabulary, please answer questions a through d.

Using the mini case information, write a 250-500 word letter of intent discussing specific strategies for how you will conduct your start-up business with personal and professional integrity.

While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

Case Study

Review the All in a Day’s Work Case Study (pp. 33-34) and answer the three discussion questions.

Responses to each question should range from 100-200 words.  Your paper should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards (12 point Times New Roman font, double-spacing, 1″ margins, title and reference pages). Be sure to use the text and/or other sources to support your responses and properly cite the use of such.


Describe the people-related problems or issues Ann Wood faced during the day.

Did she handle these effectively? If not, what do you believe she should have done?
